Hearing God for Good

“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16,17

Fellow Brothers and Sisters, We need to remember that the God of the universe desires relationship with us and that speaking and hearing are necessary for not just communication, but they significantly deepen and strengthen our relationship with Him.

We need to be in the flow of the Spirit of God and experience the powerful, supernatural life God has called us to live. One way to stay in His flow is to be intentional about hearing God’s voice. God speaks to us in several ways: through His Word (The Scriptures).

Scriptures are the most familiar way He communicates with us. They are His Word, and His Voice. The Bible isn’t just another book; it’s the revealed Word of God.  Our quote for Today reassured us that “God inspired every word in our Bible to help us accept correction, make right choice each moment, maintain and enjoy our freedom.”

God’s Word is inspired and it’s profitable i.e. advantageous, useful, and extremely valuable. God’s Word also gives us instruction and correction so we can be complete (sufficient, completely qualified, mature) and equipped (competent, proficient, adept and capable) to do what God has called us to do (every good work).
