”As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7.
For a start, we already know why Jesus came to Earth! When we received Jesus as our Savior, we received the gift of righteousness and faithfulness which enables us to reign in life with much thanks to God. We kept thanking God each time we remeber that this righteousness (not self) does not come from us but the Lord, and that when we are established in His righteousness, no weapon formed against you will prosper according to His Word in Romans 5 and Isaiah 54:17.
To be established in something is to have that thing as our very foundation for security. So God wants us to know, be sure of and grow in the revelation that we are established by the blood of Jesus, not by our power, but by His perfect sacrifice at the cross. Furthermore, Each time we feel as if we are in a storm of circumstances, tossed here and there, and we begin to experience worry and fear, we must remind ourself of who we are in Christ: “We are the righteousness of God in Christ, with absolute faith in God”, i.e. We must be rest assured that we have His righteousness!
As we do this individually, and reminding others, we will begin to notice the worry and fear slide off individuals and groups, for when we are established in righteousness, “we shall be far from oppression, for we shall not fear anything in moments, nor terror, for it shall not come near us!” That is why God wants you as a person to be established in righteousness. He wants you to be free from sins, fear, and far from oppression and terror.
