”..for as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Matthew 24:38-39.
Matthew uses the story of Noah to say to us that no warning will be given, as to the day or time of Jesus’ coming. This example is one of many important ones for Matthew and the audience he was writing to. Evangelizing, Matthew wrote his gospel with the purpose of bringing the Jewish people to Jesus, so he used many examples from the Old Testament. Of course, The scriptures in the Old Testament had great authority in the Jewish community, so the use of Old Testament scriptures gave authority to what Matthew was saying in his gospel, alligned with Jesus Christ warning to All of us in Mark 13:35-37 “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
Matthew says in verse 38 & 39, “For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away.” The point Matthew was trying to make is that no warning was given to the people before the flood and no warning will be given to us as well before Jesus comes again. There simply will not be any prophetic codes to decode, even if we calculate God’s appointed weeks in days or seasons using the scriptures, the lunar has been twisted by past leaders, principalities and powers, just to deceive many of us into vain babblings and self justifications, instead of awakening, reminding, and sharpening ourselves all with the absolute influence of Holy Ghost.
We simple will not know exact date when the time will come, Jesus doesn’t even know..except that Revelation 22:10 says “..And He saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. The exact Day was not mentioned, but they in Heaven (not excluding Jesus Christ) are always prepared to carry out God’s orders just as Nations army are mostly and always armed in their bases to carry out their General order, just like harvesters file and polish their hook while waiting for the farm owners order. So, if you hear someone making a prediction about when the end will come – ignore them! But “Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.” Peace be unto you in Jesus name!
