”At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom” Matthew 27.51.
In this chapter, Jesus Christ was established as the one who bridges our lives with God with timely spiritual and physical evidence. For our sake, to prove the Sanctity of Christianity right, for the onward acts towards eternity, giving the Holy Spirit chances to put the puzzle together, we agree that the physical or fleshy or bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Moreover, There are some persons who think Christians are being presumptuous when we proclaim that Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. If there is one thing religion has taught us, it is that it is a vain gesture to reach up to God all by ourselves. Behold, Our arms are not long enough. So God has reached out to us. God became one of us and somehow through the miracle of the cross God has made it possible for us to share in the eternal (See Hebrew 2:10).
Connection with the eternal gives us hope that we can overcome our troubles. Connection with the eternal gives us love for our neighbors, which always comes back to us through others who love us. And connection with the eternal gives us forgiveness so that we can in turn give others a second, third, or fourth chance in life. Peace be unto you in Jesus name!
